5 out of 5 stars Worth more than its price   January 3, 2008

It's not often I give a product an unabashedly glowing
review. Some of the best products can have minor flaws
which make them less than perfect.

I have yet to find any flaws with this product. Not only
do its readings track exactly with my accurate (but hard
to seal) digital gauge, but one look at the design detail
tells you that it's thoughtfully designed.

A persistent problem with air pressure gauges is the seal
made with the tire valve. My Accu-tire gauge, for all its
accuracy, was an exercise in frustration when it came to
getting a tight seal, without which the pressure reading is meaningless. Looking at the Accu-tire, I was led to wonder why the manufacturer hadn't considered guiding the gauge onto the valve with a short length of solid tubing, together with an o-ring seal inside.

Accu-gage has done just that with their product. Using solid brass fittings (clearly designed to last), the hose end is pushed onto the valve through its guide tube, making a tight seal all but guaranteed. If you need to use a tire inflater to add pressure, an adapter is provided for that purpose, and the guide tube can be locked in place while the tire is being inflated.

I can't find anything not to like, and would have paid more to get a product of this quality.

I just bought this Accu-gage EZ air check and the Accutire MS-4350B Programmable Digital Tire Gauge. There is no comparison. The Accu-gage clips onto the tire valve easily, quickly and without letting out any air. The tire pressure is instantly readable. You can press the release valve to let out air if overfilled - or add air if needed by simply hooking up a compressor to the gauge hose as you would directly to the tire valve stem - both without removing the clipped on gauge. The valve reads the added air pressure instantly. Also seems well built. Highly recommended!
The Accutire works well IF you can seat it on the tire valve without losing significant amounts of air (see my review at that product site) but doesn't allow adding or releasing air.

This is a great gauge for those who are meticulous about tire pressure, or those who are suspicious about what you find at the gas station. Holds well to the tire, and the relief valve is well placed and easy to use.

Well designed, well built, easy to use. Just attach one end to the tire, the other to the air hose, and you're set! No longer do you have to add air, stop and check the pressure with a separate gauge--it's now all done in one step.
