Product Description Thule Passage Trunk racks are an economical alternative to the Speedway series. Stable fit to vehicle via 6 point strap attachment. Rubber cradles and straps protect bikes from scratches. Arms fold down when not in use
Amazon.com Product Description Convenient and easy to mount, the Thule 910 Passage strap rack lets you carry up to two bikes on the trunk of your car, making it easy to bring your bikes to the campsite or trail.
The Thule 910 Passage includes a 6-strap design that attaches securely to your trunk. | The 910 Passage is equipped with a six-strap system that attaches securely to the rear of your vehicle, with vinyl-coated buckles that hold firm to the trunk while protecting your finish from scratches or dents. The carrier also includes a patented FitDial system that adjusts to a variety of car types, along with soft rubber cradles that protect your bike frames while holding them securely. And thanks to the narrow build, the carrier holds a wide range of bike types, including small child-size frames. Other features include SoftCushion pads on the frame itself, no-sway cages that prevent bike-to-bike contact, and a folding design for easy storage.

Great rack September 18, 2008 Book Lover (WI) 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
Works great for our little Honda. Easy to set up and take down. Sturdy during travel. Stores easily in our trunk.
Just what I needed!!!! May 14, 2010 R. Sabala (Queens, NY USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
At first I thought I was to be a complicated set up but after reading a few pages of the manual found it to be an easy set up and install. I was going to buy the other set up with the bars and the bike set that goes on top of the car but after using this one I am really happy, mounts easily and dismounts as easy then it folds into a compact unit that gets store in the back of the car (mine is a hatchback).
Great Rack! June 13, 2010 Jennifer L. Shick (PA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Easy to take on and off. Stays secure on vehicle and holds bikes securely. We use it on a 2010 Outback and it works great. Instruction manual includes an index of vehicles and the proper setting for the rack - we were happy to see it included 2010 models.
Good bike rack July 20, 2010 Kess 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This bike rack works very well. I have taken one bike over 1500 miles and it has not had any problems. I own a dodge caliber and it fits well. I've also used this rack on a dodge caravan.
A tip for getting the side/bottom straps tight: snug up the straps as much as you can, lean on the rack to make it go left, tighten up the left strap, lean on the rack ot make it go right, and tighten up the right strap.
I'd suggest getting a small bungy to attach the front wheel of your bike to the bike frame so it doesn't bump around. Also, when using the safety strap to tie the bike to the frame of the rack, make sure the pedal of the bike won't scratch your car.
I have no doubt this would hold two bikes, but I just haven't tried it.
Very strong, did the trick July 13, 2010 Sean (Reston, VA USA) I really wanted a trailer mounted model but I couldn't find one I liked and didn't stick out too far. I also have a trailer hitch carrier, so this allows me to carry both bikes and coolers/beach gear instead of choosing one or the other. It is well-designed and strong. No complaints.
I read another reviewer who has a Tahoe and couldn't make this work due to the shape of the tailgate door... This is true and it wouldn't attach there. But the Tahoe does have a very strong and perfectly shaped roof rack bar that you can attach the top straps to. NOTE: THE INSTRUCTIONS SAY NOT TO DO THIS. But I found it worked well for me and was quite strong. When you open the tailgate the straps loosen, so as long as you have the bikes off the rack before opening we found it ok. I am not sure you can open the tailgate with the bikes on anyway. Your call.
