Manufacturer's Warranty It's backed by Thule's limited lifetime warranty. The warranty is terminated if the purchaser transfers the product to another person. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, cosmetic rust, scratches, or accidents. About Thule To say that Thule's beginnings in the U.S. were humble would be an understatement. Founding member Ake Skeppner sold products at windsurf competitions on the New England shoreline, exhibited the product line at a number of different trade shows, and even canvassed local retailers in the greater New York area, all from his "office"--a now-famous station wagon. Initial success was found in the small but growing sport of windsurfing where a strong, reliable roof rack was an indispensable piece of equipment. This was quickly followed by success in the ski business where Thule's Swedish heritage certainly helped the product gain rapid acceptance. By the mid-1980s, the company sold products directly to ski and windsurfing shops but sold through distributors to address the large and growing bike business. A risky decision was made to terminate these distributor relationships and sell direct to retailers through a network of independent sales representatives. Much of the company's market success today can be traced to that decision. Shortly after, Ake hired an engineer and set up a small assembly plant in Elmsford, New York in order to design and manufacture bike carriers that would offer the features demanded by the U.S. consumer and compete effectively with other racks on the market. The company has since grown rapidly through product innovation, a commitment to quality, and the continuance of a strong entrepreneurial spirit as well as continuing to evolve their products to meet the needs of users.

Great durable product December 9, 2008 J. Barnes (Annapolis, MD) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
Bought this for a family vacation and it held up great. It rained while on our way but the items were dry - perfect. We will be using this for many years to come. Easy to install.
Make sure you have crossbars August 10, 2009 Brian N. Sorensen (Leavenworth, KS) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
The carrier is great. No problems installing; just take your time. For some reason I don't understand, the Honda Odyssey does not come with crossbars. This was an additional $200 I was not expecting to use. So, the total cost for carrying items on top of the van was $550.
Now you can pack everything! September 12, 2009 Samiam (The great midwest) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This rack was easy to install. The box is bulky - there is no way to get around that, but it is light weight, so that added in the ease of installation. The directions that were provided were thorough and easy to follow. The pictures were large enough to look at with ease. It was easy to compare the pictures with each step as you proceeded through the installation. It would have been possible for one able bodied person to install, but it was much quicker to put together with an extra set of hands. (My 9 year old daughter - who is tall for her age - was able to help me put it together. If you are planning a long trip - plan to put the things that you don't need to get at during the trip in the cargo box. Because the box is on the roof of the car, it isn't the easiest place to access your belongings. But it is WAY better than having everything stuffed in the car. At the end of our trip it was easy to disassemble the box and put it away in storage. The hardware can be stored with the box - so there isn't any chance of loosing integral pieces. I have always been impressed with Thule products, and this is no exception.
thule 667es excursion October 20, 2009 jay (tennessee) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
great product!!!we put it on our 2006 Subaru Forrester (we already had the factory installed racks on top) in about 5 minutes....off on a 2000 mile road trip without any problems. We saw plenty of roof top cargo systems along the way...alot of them were "bouncing" but the Thule we purchased was nice and tight and didn't bounce or move at all. We are very happy with this car top carrier. Once home it popped right off in under two minutes.
We bought this product to carrier our dog stroller and were able to fit a lot of stuff up there and out of the way on the trip.
Just the Right size September 11, 2009 Lissy A. Kougl (Helena, MT) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Held all our luggage for a family of 5. Only thing I wish I knew before was to twist the straps to avoid rattling noise.
