Big mirror - prepare to get comments from your passengers. March 11, 2010 Chris Lehne (Minnesota, USA) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I was very pleased to find that this mirror does not suck. At 18 inches, it isn't monstrous but it is definitely much bigger than most if not all stock rear view mirrors. In my 4 door sedan I can see out not only my rear window but also the entirety of the left and right back windows (granted a passenger's head isn't in the way). You can easily look at people in your back seats and the person in the passenger seat with this mirror, which can be fun but perhaps a little distracting and dangerous :)
The quality of the mirror is very nice - it doesn't feel cheap in the slightest. It just clips right on to your existing mirror. I didn't need any instructions to do this... it was really a no-brainer.
What I was most amazed at was that this mirror completely negated the usefulness of my other side rear-view mirrors. I get more viewing angle out of this one mirror than all of my stock rear-view mirrors combined! I am waiting for some convex blind spot mirrors to arrive so I get more utility out of those side mirrors.
BIG rear view mirror October 8, 2009 Crystal L. Griffith 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Bought for hubby's truck. He has some problems with turning around in the seat to see the blind spots behind him. This solves the majority of that problem. Coupled with a pair of convex mirrors on the sides, he has it made. Putting the visors down does block the mirror but he rarely uses them so the trade-off was fine. I wish I could find one I saw in 1970 that goes from the middle of the windshield all the way over in stepped segments to the passenger side of the windshield. This is the next best thing and it is quite good so he's happy.
Great rearview mirror - almost eliminates blind spots. January 30, 2010 Mantra (MADISON, AL, US) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Great rearview mirror - almost eliminates blind spots.
Worth every penny. Nicely fits. I use it in my van - Toyota sienna - can see both middle door windows and quite a bit of driver / passenger side windows as well. Now looking over the shoulder is just a quick customary act so that I don't forget that habit :-)
That said - I will miss it whenever I drive a rental car. :-). Can't help it.
BLIND SPOT HELP July 3, 2009 Manof Color (CHICAGO, ILLINOIS United States) 6 out of 8 found this review helpful
Well, so far so good. For less than $6, not including shipping, this mirror seems to be made from good quality stuff. I must commend AMAZON.COM, for I ordered this mirror, on Monday and got it on Wednesday. You can see all lanes clearly behind you with this mirror. I don't know what is in the mind of drivers, where they see you trying to turn, turn signal on, yet they speed up to try to pass you. Stupid drivers, know how to sneak up on you and get in your blind spot. I bought this mirror to prevent being hit in the rear. Installation instructions, should be more specific, so one does not have to tug on your regular, rear view mirror, to install this mirror.
Great Mirror- Great Price! March 6, 2010 AK (Seattle) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Just received the Mirror today. Here is my impression of this product. it is not actually 18". It is just short of that. Excellent quality! the quality looks the same as a Broadway except that this mirror clamps much harder to your stock mirror. You can see EVERYTHING. I can see out my driver and passenger window through this mirror, that is how much coverage there is. This is a Convex Mirror. There is a little sensor thing that looks to be an auto dimmer. measure your vehicle, you might not be able to lay down your sun visors all the way. I fitted this mirror to the 95 Odysset. Awesome product for an awesome price!
