We believe that human beings, when faced with the humanity of another, will often react with compassion and concern.

Therefore we seek to increase understanding specific to the Middle East through the exchange of knowledge and the essential human experiences.

We do this without naiveté or blindness to the realities of conflict. We believe that peace will be achieved only through what, to each party, will be unsatisfactory compromise. Still, there must be peace and it must be based on the values of true justice, compassion, and security for all peoples of the Middle East.

Meet Us

The Middle East Activist was formed in May, 2002 by a group of people of differing religious, ethnic, and political backgrounds united in their hope for cross-cultural friendship, and in their belief that the only way to resolve conflict in the Middle East is through fairness and justice. We attempt to raise the level of discussion from finger pointing to solutions, and from opinions based on fear and ignorance to those based on fact.
